Denton Holland is a District Administrator and Technology Director for Verdigris Public Schools. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in math education in the fall of 1996 from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. Denton later completed his Masters in Administration from the same University in the summer of 2006. Denton began teaching in the spring of 1997 at Berryhill. He spent one year as a teacher/coach and Technology Director at Checotah Public Schools, before taking a position at Verdigris to help build a new High School. Denton has been employed with Verdigris Public Schools for the past 22 years. He began his tenure with the district teaching Calculus, Physics and Trigonometry while coaching High School football in addition to being the Director of Technology. Denton spent nine years as the Middle School, Junior High, and Upper Elementary Principal. While Denton has held many roles within the district, he has remained the Director of Technology.
