Ashley is currently the library media specialist at Garber Public Schools in Garber, Oklahoma where she serves as the library media specialist, testing coordinator, E-Rate director, Curriculum Coordinator, Virtual Learning Coordinator and Junior High Cheer Coach. Ashley has presented at local, state and national conferences on innovative programs and projects for the classroom and library. After presenting at the American Association for School Libraries Conference in 2013, Ashley was published in the American Libraries Magazine. She has also presented at ISTE, the International Society for Technology in Education. She and a group of her students presented a poster session at the 2015 conference in Philadelphia. This is Ashley’s 21st year in education and has taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades and has 10 years experience as a library media specialist. In 2012, Ashley was named Savannah Elementary’s teacher of the year and in 2014 she was named Longfellow Middle School’s teacher of the year. In 2017, she received this honor again at Garber Public Schools. Ashley earned her undergraduate degree from Southwestern Oklahoma University and her graduate degree from Texas Woman’s University.
