| Doug Brown is the superintendent of Idabel Public Schools in Idabel, Oklahoma. He has served as superintendent since 2013. Doug has spoken at several statewide conferences on the topic of successful social media for schools and the integration of technology in the classroom. He was honored to receive the State Superintendent's Arts Excellence Award in 2019. Doug Brown is a member of the Executive Directors Board for the Cooperative Council of School Administrators in Oklahoma. He also serves on the board of the Oklahoma Association of School Business Officials. Doug has successfully guided several bond proposals to give Idabel Public Schools the fastest network in SE Oklahoma and successfully implemented a 1:1 program across the district. He has been honored as OASA Regional Superintendent of the Year for District 19, twice. Idabel Schools' mantra of "Preparing Champions for Life" is exactly the direction in which he has led the Idabel Public School district. He earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma followed by a Bachelor's of Science in Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He earned his Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University. |
